If ever you needed proof that Otters are on the increase, a trip to Leighton Moss should convince you. With up to six otters on view for at least two hours, "Public Hide" was the place to be this morning. Mark and I caught all the action, spot-lit by glorious winter sunshine... By 11AM the hide was packed so Mark and I hit the road once more, heading south via Pilling... An unremarkable Pilling area prompted a trip to West Lancashire, first stop: Mere Sands Wood. I had forgotten how excellent their feeding station is... And a trip to West Lancashire isn't complete without a visit to Martin Mere. The 3PM feeding frenzy lived up to expectations...
