I don't normally rave about frogs, but today deserves a special mention. On this cold and frosty Saturday morning, Eddie and I headed for the Lake District to walk the Fairfield Horseshoe. Predictably, we saw ravens and buzzards, but we never expected amphibians at this time of year, or at this altitude!

Then a frog came out and sat on the snow. What?!!!
A memorable day in many ways: spectacular views, good company and, incredibly, a frog!
